- Ram Manohar Lohia Passed Away: Ram Manohar Lohia was born on 23 March 1910 was a socialist leader and political activist. He was well known among his critics and admirers. His ideas were unconventional and far ahead of the time. He became the first secretary of the foreign affairs department in All India Congress Committee. He was against the use of English as the language of unity. He died on this day in the year 1967 (Source: mapsofindia)

- India To Start Technical Intern Training Program (TITP)
- As part of skill development programs India will start TITP with Japan.
- Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan tweeted that Union Cabinet has approved signing of Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) between and India Japan on TITP.
- Under TITP India will send 3 lakh youth to Japan for a period of 3-5 year. As part of this program the youths will be trained with different skills.
- After training maximum of 50,000 youth can take job there. The cost of the training and accommodation will beard by Japan. (Source: Times Of India)
- Direct Tax Hike To 16% Arun Jaitley
- For the month of April to September income tax department has seen a hike of 16% in the direct tax collection.
- The direct tax collection amount to 3.8 lakh crore. Where as the advance tax for Corporate raised by 8.1% and that in advance personal Income Tax raised by 30.1%. mentioned by Finance Minster Arun Jaitley.(Source: Times Of India)
- Anupam Kher Becomes Chairman Of FTII
- Anupam Kher has been appointed as Chairman for Film and Television Institute of India Pune on Wednesday succeeding Gajendra Chauhan.
- Gajendra Chauhan appointment was protested by student faculty and film related peoples leading to a strike of 139 days, finally replaced with Anupam Kher.
