  • World Space Week
    • In various part of world including Asia as well as Europe world space week is observed from 4-10 October.
    • It is basically defined for international celebration of science and technology and betterment of human condition.

Main Course:

  • Supreme Court Gave A Blow On The Delhi Cracker Vendors
    • Supreme Court has ban selling of cracker on Delhi region. This come as a step to control pollution created during Diwali time.
    • However bursting of cracker has not been ban, this keeps a loophole for the buyers and sellers to get cracker from outside Delhi and make the purpose of ban useless.
    • The ban will be in action till 31st October. (Source: Times Of India)

  • Taj Mahal Not In UP Tourism Booklet
    • Uttar Pradesh Government has not include Taj Mahal in it’s booklet on tourism projects.
    • This was highly criticized over social media. In support to the government decision Minister in charge of Religious Affairs and Culture Laxmi Narayan Chaudhary said UP government was “rashtravadi (nationalist)” and runs on “dharm niti (religious policy)”.

  • Earthquake Hit Andaman Islands
    • Andaman Island is being hit by earthquake of 4.3 magnitude.
    • The Island felt the tremor at 1:03 am.
    • On 6th October also it was hit with a magnitude of 4.9
    • No loss of life has been reported. (Source: ANI News)
  • 2017 Nobel Economics Priz Was Given To Richard Thaler
    • Richard Thaler is an US reseacher and has significant contributed in the field of  behavioral economics which is popularly known as “nudging”.

  • Simona Halep In China Open Final
    • Romanian tennis player Simona Halep had qualified into finals of China Open after defeating Latvia’s Jelena Ostapenko.
    • Simona Halep holds the number one ranking in the WTA rankings.
    • She defeated Latvia’s Jelena Ostapenko with 6-2, 6-4.
